Entry level

Retailers or recent college graduates looking to advance in their profession. These candidates complete our Store Management Development program working as Assistant Store Managers in local markets and prepare for promotion to Store Manager in 1 - 2 years.

Experienced

Managers with more than three years of retail experience looking for accelerated advancement. These candidates join CVS/pharmacy as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager, complete our Store Management Development program, and take over responsibility of a CVS/pharmacy store in less than 1 year.

Multi-unit executives

Experienced multi-unit or market based supervisors, managers and executives that are looking for executive responsibility.

Growth

CVS/pharmacy provides ongoing training and development which includes our Store Management Development program, individual development planning, and our Learning Center.

CVS/pharmacy makes extensive ongoing investments in our managers, continuously seeking new opportunities for them to learn and grow. Select store managers and other employees are invited to participate in our leadership programs.

Through dedication, commitment, and education, a Store Manager can be promoted to District Manager, Region Manager, or even to a Vice President position, as well as to other opportunities in both local field management or staff support positions at our Store Support Center.

The CVS/pharmacy Store Management Development program includes structured training that provides future Store Managers with the tools necessary to successfully operate a CVS/pharmacy store.
