For six decades, Meeting Street School has been a nationally recognized pioneer in education, early intervention, childhood development and related clinical services. With the opening of the Meeting Street national center of excellence in late 2006, the organization is building upon this proud tradition. The new campus creates an unprecedented degree of inclusion for children of all abilities and serves as a model for the rest of the nation. It dramatically expands inclusive opportunities for education and recreation, mental health services for infants and young children, family support and advocacy, and research and training.
The Providence, R.I. campus enables children of all abilities to learn and grow together. It houses The Grace School, one of the first fully inclusive K-8 schools in the nation, and The Carter School, a unique high school that focuses on educating and preparing students for life after graduation. Children who learn and develop together in a diverse environment have a deeper appreciation for one another’s contributions and work together to overcome obstacles and pursue their dreams.
CVS Caremark is proud to support innovation and inclusion at Meeting Street, as well as the many volunteers who give their time and energy for this worthy cause. CVS Caremark believes in the possibilities of Meeting Street because of the miraculous achievements students achieve every day.
