CVS Caremark has a long tradition of supporting the academic aspirations of young scholars. One of the ways we achieve this is by offering children of full-time employees the opportunity to apply for a CVS Caremark Corporate Scholarship, funded by the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust. The future success of our company, the health of our community, and the overall prosperity of our economy relies heavily on our educational system and its accessibility to students.
We are proud that this program has helped hundreds of students achieve their goal of furthering their education.
An independent review committee made up of higher education and financial aid professionals will select scholarship winners. The review committee will consider a number of factors when determining scholarships awards, including:
- Academic achievement
- Extracurricular activities
- Other talents
- Work experience
- Community service
- School recommendations
- Financial burden to the family
Scholarship winners are announced in July, following a mid-May deadline. Full-time employees who have been hired by the application deadline (which changes each year) and have children who are seniors in high school or are attending a college or university may request a scholarship application.
Scholarship winners may attend any accredited college, junior college or university and may select any two- or four-year course of study leading to a recognized undergraduate degree. Employees can request an application by calling the HR Contact Support Center.
