WOONSOCKET, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 2002--CVS Corporation (NYSE:CVS) announced today that Helena B. Foulkes has been named Senior Vice President of Advertising and Marketing. Foulkes will be responsible for developing and implementing the Company's advertising and marketing strategies and will report to Chris Bodine, Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing.
Foulkes began her career at CVS in 1992 and has served as a Category Manager and Vice President in the company's Merchandising department. She was also Vice President of Relationship Marketing and Vice President of Marketing. In addition to merchandising and marketing responsibilities, Foulkes played a key role in the development of the Company's Internet strategy, which resulted in the successful launch of CVS.com in 1999.
Foulkes most recently was responsible for the development and launch of the CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare card program, the most successful customer loyalty program in America. Since launching ExtraCare chainwide in February 2001, CVS has issued over 28 million ExtraCare cards as part of a unique program to reward customers with ExtraBucks money back and other rewards for loyal CVS customers. Foulkes also directs key healthcare-related relationship marketing efforts targeted at diabetes and women's health issues.
